B is for Before There was You

9:39 PM

When I used to look above,
          all I saw was sky;
       and every song,
          that I would sing,
                 I sung not knowing why.

All I thought and all I felt,
              Was only just because,
                Never was it ever you –

                    Until it was all there was.

One of the poems I can mostly relate to, at this moment, by my favorite modern poet, Lang Leav.

  1. I had not heard of that poet; very nice poem. So short and simple but compelling in its message. Just visiting from A/Z; hope you continue on with the challenge :)
