Unfortunately, my husband and I have to be in a long-distance relationship TEMPORARILY.
And to make this kind of set-up work for the best (because that's what love requires- we have to make efforts), we tried to come up with a plan to do something together and we call it "Success Buddy".
It's a list of all the things we want to accomplish together.
It's also like developing productive hobbies.
It's actually quite wholistic. If we stick to this plan, we will not only grow in our relationship but also other personal aspects.
It's very exciting for me.
So far, my list is this:
1. To read at least 2 books per month
2. Exercise/work-out at least 3x a week
3. Write one blog entry a week (that's why I'm back here after being on a hiatus for the longest time)
4. Eat at least one health meal a day
5. Learn a new language
We made a tracker of this list and then by the end of the month, a corresponding reward will be given to each other for each accomplishment.
I have high hopes that we will maintain this growth, steadily, until our list becomes a favorite hobby.
We will also try to limit unproductive habits especially browsing social media and watching Netflix.
Compound effect - is what my husband would advise. It's the small things we try to do each day that will make a difference.
